donations? The answer is almost always YES !

With all of the wonderful projects and programs that these groups are performing in our State Park system there is always a need for more money. In general, the public will donate if there is an easy, fast way for them to do it and for them to pick were there money will be spent. This is the driving force behind a new program being spear headed by the FPOSP.  

The “Tube Donation Safe” program is just that. These safes can be located in your State Park for your support group. You can place them near a particular project or along a parking area where people can place donations from their car. It is a steel tube that is set in the ground with concrete around it. It is 36” high when installed. There is a slot in the side to accept money. The top has a padlock lid, that opens to a keyed safe type lid . This is removable to access the donation box. They come with a sign that reads “Place Donations Here , Support the continued efforts of : your groups name”   Then below it will read “ In cooperation with the Friends for the Preservation Ohio State Parks & The Ohio State Parks System” 

Your group is responsible for the painting,  installation,  maintenance and collection of the donations. All groups must have their park managers signature on the order form, allowing the number of safes to be placed in your park. 

Costs: For non-members the cost of the first safe is $25.00 The same price as a new regular membership.  Note: new members will receive their first safe at no cost. Then current members first safe and additional safes will be at a cost of $15.00 per safe. Delivery will be with your parks firewood orders.

To order print out the attached order form at the beginning of this document, complete and send out with check.

Orders will take 3-5 weeks.
